Standard stuff, but unfortunately Jackson collided with a piece of camera equipment. Jackson was working on a scene for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter where she was doubling for Milla Jovovich for a stunt that required her to ride her motorcycle at high speed. Sadly, by her spot on this list, you can also understand that she must have suffered a horrific injury. You might not know the name Olivia Jackson, but the talented stuntwoman has worked on Avengers: Age of Ultron, Guardians of the Galaxy, Mad Max: Fury Road and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. but just got to embrace what I have & move onwards & upwards ☝😊 Luckily I have an awesome supportive team behind me ❤️ #united49Ī post shared by Olivia Jackson 4⃣9⃣ on at 2:57am PDT Goodbye to my withered arm, hello to my stump. This is literally the least significant injury sustained by anyone on this list, and it was still almost fatal. Towner took to Instagram to talk about his injuries sustained after hitting the reef saying“I got myself a broken jaw, some stitches in my lip and eyelid, whiplash to my neck and back and a couple small puncher wounds that went through my neck and into the back of my mouth that apparently just missed an artery.” Unfortunately, all the surfing experience in the world doesn’t always prepare you for the unpredictability of the water. Towner is an Aussie big wave surfer who was hired to play the stunt double for the lead in the movie, who is played by Luke Bracey.

But I bet Laurie Towner was pretty stoked about it.

There are a lot of people out there who don’t think there is any need to make a sequel to the 1991 film Point Break. In the mean time is coming to hang by my side because I can't fly for a while see ya soon!Ī post shared by Laurie Towner on at 2:03am PDT Just want to thank every one who helped me though out yesterday really appreciate it! I'm all good an as positive as ever! I'll be back when my jaw is good. I got myself a broken jaw some stitches in my lip an eye lid whip lash to my neck an back and a couple small puncher wounds that went through my neck an into the back of my mouth that apparently just missed an artery. Either way I'm really Lucky an grateful I'm still here. Apparently there was a bigger wave behind an no one saw me surface so I'm not sure if I had a 2 wave hold down or the wave I was on sent me straight to the lagoon. I hit my head on the bottom an must have blacked out because the next thing I can remember is being in the lagoon gasping for air in calm water. I could tell the lump of swell was going into the channel which generally means it's a close out or a really fast west one. It was a pretty slow swell an although I should of kicked out I decided to go anyway. I let go of the rope on an a evil little west one. Teahupoo gave me a good old fashion flogging yesterday on my 3rd wave.
